DIY Wedding at Stove Prairie Ranch in Colorado | Jenny and Sean

Jenny and Sean’s wedding day at Stove Prairie Ranch is basically a masterclass in how to execute a DIY wedding! These two put an extraordinary amount of care into crafting their day, from the creation of various wedding day details, to the curation of their astounding vendor team, every inch of their day was flawless!! As a bonus, the two also chose the amazing wedding venue of Stone Prairie Ranch. After documenting their DIY wedding here I have to say that this venue in Bellvue, Colorado may just have to be added to my list of favorite wedding venues in the state! Let’s take a look at what makes this space so incredible, and how Jenny and Sean put together their one of a kind DIY day!

It’s All in the Details!

The details of a wedding day are what make each day feel completely unique to the couple, and the sheer amount of thought and care put into Jenny and Sean’s details was immediately present! The gorgeous welcome sign painted by Sean’s mother greeted guests as they arrived, and it featured the same text font that Jenny had used throughout their invitations which she made herself. Jenny and Sean thought of EVERYTHING when it came to their wedding day, including their prime venue choice! Stove Prairie Ranch has a lot going for it, including on site getting ready spaces for both wedding parties. This meant Jenny and Sean could get ready in the company of their friends and family to start the day off right! Also keeping the two company were their four lovely pups Lena, Foster, Echo, and Newt, who’d have a variety of important appearances throughout the day!

After both Jenny and Sean were ready we made our way to the beautiful lawn of the ranch for their first look. Sean practically LIT up with excitement when he saw Jenny, and the stunning views of Stove Prairie Ranch acted as the perfect backdrop for this precious moment from their wedding day! After some couples portraits, including some with their puppers, we were able to snag a few more photos with their friends and family before making our way to their ceremony.

Their Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Stove Prairie Ranch

I’m obsessed with Jenny and Sean’s ceremony for SO many reasons. The raw emotion on full display throughout the event, beautiful pastel florals, the gorgeous outdoor amphitheater of Stove Prairie Ranch, and the inclusion of Jenny and Sean’s pups all made this wedding ceremony immeasurably wonderful! Following the ceremony Jenny, Sean, and I snuck off for some newlywed portraits amidst the gorgeous rocky landscape that surrounds Stove Prairie Ranch, before making our way back to rejoin cocktail hour with their guests.

Celebrating Their Wedding at Stove Prairie Ranch

Immediately outside of the indoor reception space of Stove Prairie Ranch is the lovely stone terrace that acts as a perfect area for an outdoor cocktail hour! Jenny and Sean were able to mingle with their guests for a bit prior to their reception starting which was SO much fun for them. As much effort as they put into the details of their wedding day, the two were also sure to prioritize spending as much time as possible with their loved ones!! The wedding reception itself was a blast from start to finish. The energy of their guests, the incredible team of wedding vendors, and the wonderful indoor space of Stove Prairie Ranch all made it an evening to remember! Later on in the afternoon Jenny, Sean, and I snuck away for some sunset portraits before making our way back to dance the night away, and eat some ice cream!!

Jenny and Sean’s wedding day at Stove Prairie Ranch is a perfect example of how a DIY wedding can come together to create an experience like none other!
