Engagement Photos at Rocky Mountain National Park | Misaki and Eric
If you know me, then you know that I am ALWAYS down for an adventure, especially when it's for an engagement session!! Don’t get me wrong, I love an engagement session where we explore downtown Denver just as much as the next gal, but there’s something so exciting and special about experiencing the natural wonder of Colorado up close and personal! That’s why I’m SO excited to share Misaki and Eric’s gallery with you. For their engagement photos, Misaki and Eric wanted to be fully immersed in the epic beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park, and I am ecstatic with how they came out!!
Hiking To Emerald Lake
Something that had me instantly fall in love with this session is that Misaki and Eric chose my favorite hike and location in Rocky Mountain National Park for their engagement photos, Emerald Lake! Emerald Lake is a fantastic spot for photos in RMNP as it gives you such an insane sense of scale with how close it is to Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain. Not only that though, but the hike itself also takes you along another favorite location of mine, Dream Lake! You may recognize this from both Iva and Adam’s session as well as Maddie and Luke’s!
Hiking the trail to Emerald Lake with Misaki and Eric for their session meant that not only could we get some photos at Dream Lake, but we also had PLENTY of time to get to know one another on the hike. I can’t recommend this enough as the three of us were chatting and laughing throughout the entirety of our time together!!
Engagement Photos in Rocky Mountain National Park
Like I mentioned earlier, Misaki, Eric, and I were able to stop at Dream Lake for the start of our session, which was gorgeous as always! Getting to know these two more on our hike made things so much more fun as the three of us were able to laugh and joke around more. It also led to Misaki and Eric both getting comfortable in front of the camera more quickly, which was HUGE! We then made our way to Emerald Lake for the remainder of their engagement photos in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Both locations are stunning, but one aspect I love about Emerald Lake is how secluded it feels compared to Dream Lake. The hike to Emerald Lake is an out and back trail, and with Dream Lake being as beautiful as it is, a lot of people will turn back after getting to that point in the hike. This meant that we had Emerald Lake and its magnificent views practically to ourselves! This let Misaki and Eric really let loose and be their true selves in front of the camera. We even got an outfit change in for the second half of their session as well as a jaw dropping sunset to cap things off!
Though we did have to walk back in the dark, the photos we got celebrating Misaki and Eric’s engagement made it SO worth it!! I’m so happy these two chose me to document this moment in their relationship and tag along for this incredible adventure with them!
