Mountain Elopement in Leadville, Colorado | Kathleen and Scott
Kathleen and Scott hired me to be the photographer for their intimate elopement day in the mountains of Leadville, Colorado, and holy cow was it a spectacular day!! Kathleen and Scott are both from out of state, so capturing them celebrating their love in the natural beauty of the mountains of Colorado was a MUST. Safe to say we were able to do just that and I am beyond excited to share the highlights with you all!! After some kind words from the couple of course!
"Katie photographed my wedding and we had an absolutely AMAZING experience working with her! She is an incredible mix of professional and organized, but also so fun and comfortable to be around. My whole family loved meeting Katie and felt so at ease with her behind the camera. The photos turned out better than I could ever imagine. I truly cannot recommend her enough!"
Elopement Portraits in the Mountains of Colorado
As I mentioned earlier, both Kathleen and Scott are from out of state, but they have a family home in Leadville, Colorado where their ceremony would end up taking place! With Kathleen and Scott both knowing the beauty that Colorado has to offer though, they wanted some portraits taken in the mountains for their elopement day. That’s why both before and after their elopement ceremony we planned in time for portraits so we could get a true variety of locations for the newlyweds!! With rolling fields, dense forests, and gorgeous lakes all surrounded by snow capped mountains, they really did get to experience some of the most beautiful scenery my lovely state has to offer! And we haven’t even talked about the family home yet!!
Their Ceremony at Their Family’s Leadville Home
The family home where Kathleen and Scott’s elopement ceremony took place overlooks Mt Elbert in Leadville, Colorado. Their outdoor ceremony used the snow covered mountain as its backdrop, which if you imagine a Colorado elopement in your mind is the first thing you’ll think of! It was honestly SO breathtaking, and for Kathleen and Scott to be able to share this moment with their closest family and friends meant the world to them. After their ceremony we had some time for some family portraits outside before we made our way inside where we could sign Kathleen and Scott’s wedding paperwork to make this elopement official!
I am seriously so in love with Kathleen and Scott’s intimate elopement day in the mountains of Leadville, Colorado! Not only because we were able to capture some incredible portraits of these two celebrating their love for one another, but also because of how special it was to have their loved ones there with them at their family home.
