Summer Wedding and Adventure Session in Boulder, Colorado | Aubrey and John — Colorado Wedding and Elopement Photographer

Aubrey and John may have had their wedding on one of THE hottest days of the year, but that definitely didn’t stop them from having the best day ever! The wedding was emotional, tons of fun, and stunningly beautiful from start to finish. They chose the Chautauqua Dining Hall in Boulder, Colorado as their wedding venue, whose outdoor ceremony space looks out to the Flatiron Mountains. This stunning backdrop really set the tone for the day, and as an added bonus Aubrey, John, and I would get to experience it up close the day after during their adventure session! I can’t wait to share the highlights of both days with you!!

Getting Ready and a First Look

Aubrey and John both began their wedding day at the St Julien Hotel in Boulder, Colorado. This beautiful hotel was the ideal space for them to get ready alongside their wedding parties thanks to its beautiful interior, the abundance of natural light, and the fact that it was only about 5 minutes away from their wedding venue! The morning was filled with laughs, smiles, and a few mimosas as Aubrey and John kicked the day off alongside their closest friends and family. Once ready, Aubrey and John met up for their first look, and WOW was John’s reaction priceless!! It was such a fun and beautiful moment to start the day on. Since the two had seen one another we were able to get their wedding party photos done prior to the ceremony, which made the day flow SO well!

Their Wedding Ceremony and Reception in Boulder, Colorado

After their wedding party photos came Aubrey and John’s stunning outdoor ceremony at Chautauqua Dining Hall in Boulder, Colorado. With the incredible Flatiron Mountains as their backdrop, the two shared their vows and exchanged rings officially becoming newlyweds! It was such a beautiful moment, made all the more special from the love and support of the friends and family in attendance. After a few portraits at the ceremony space and cocktail hour, their on site reception began!

Trust me when I say this reception had it ALL! An epic live band, emotional first dances, hilarious speeches from their loved ones, and SO much more!! Of course no reception is complete without some sunset portraits, especially when views of the Flatirons are just outside your reception space. After their portraits Aubrey and John spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating with their loved ones, but that wasn’t the end of our time together!

An Adventure Session in the Flatirons of Boulder

The next day Aubrey, John, and I met up once more for an adventure session in the park leading to the Flatirons! It’s no secret that I LOVE adventure sessions with my couples, and this one is no exception!! Having their adventure session in Boulder, Colorado the day after their wedding made so much sense for Aubrey and John as it meant they could include their two adorable pups into their wedding day. I feel like even they could tell how special this moment was, as even they were smiling ear to ear for the photos! We took our time exploring the fields, taking in the views of the Flatirons, and exploring the wildflowers to finish off Aubrey and John’s wedding weekend in the best way possible!

Documenting Aubrey and John’s wedding and adventure session in Boulder, Colorado was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. These two have such a beautiful love from one another, a love that is shared equally by their friends and family who all helped make the day SO special for these two!
