7 Wedding Venues with Scenic Ceremony Spaces in Colorado

One of my favorite things to talk about here on the blog are the stunning, incredible, and breathtaking wedding venues found throughout the lovely state of Colorado! Whether it’s through lists like this one, or wedding venue feature pieces, I love showcasing these venues here so couples can see what the state has to offer. With that being said, I’m taking a slightly different approach with this article as we're taking a look at 7 wedding venues in Colorado with the most scenic ceremony spaces!! Real quick though, I want to talk a little bit about what you should look for in a wedding venue.

Choosing the Right Venue for You

Deciding on the wedding venue that will host your wedding day is one of the most impactful choices you’ll make in the planning process! It’s where you and your guests will be spending the majority of the day, so you better make sure you love it for more than just its looks (though those are important too)! When choosing your wedding venue try and keep the following things in mind:

The Setting

Like I said, the look and feel of your wedding day is an important piece of the puzzle. It’s why this blog about Colorado wedding venues is focused on scenic ceremony spaces after all!! As you begin daydreaming about your wedding day with your partner, talk through what you both envision the day feeling like. What setting are you in? Are you celebrating indoors, outdoors, or both? Do you want something rustic or something modern? Do you see yourselves having a ceremony in the mountains, or something else entirely? Be honest with one another as you talk through these wants with your partner so that you both love the look and feel of your wedding venue!

The Size

The size and capacity of a wedding venue is one of the most important determining factors in your decision. If you intend on having a large wedding day there are some venues out there that will be completely incapable of hosting your celebration. On the flipside, some venues have a minimum guest requirement in order to book them which completely rules out smaller celebrations for them. When planning your wedding, come up with a rough head count for your day so that you can know right from the start whether or not a specific venue is capable of hosting your day before you even inquire!

The Location

Something to keep in mind, especially for those planning a destination wedding in Colorado, is the location of the venue itself. For those flying into Colorado you’ll likely be flying into the Denver International Airport. If you intend on having a larger wedding with most of your guests flying in, choosing a venue closer to Denver can make the logistics of your wedding MUCH simpler for your friends and family!

The Amenities

Every venue has different amenities that they offer their couples. Things like setup and teardown assistance, tableware, and even beverage burros (yes that’s a thing and they’re incredible!) are sometimes included as amenities with certain venues. It’s important to note that each venue offers different amenities and they also handle them differently. For example, some venues have a ton of amenities included into their wedding packages, while others have these amenities available as paid add-ons for couples to choose from. It’s important when you have a specific vision in mind for your wedding that your chosen venue makes that vision possible through their amenities!

The Season

Finally we have the season of your Colorado wedding! Some venues are only available to book during certain seasons, others have higher booking rates for peak season. While a wedding in Colorado can be a dream come true in any season, it’s important to pick the one that’s best for you and select a venue that is capable of hosting weddings during your chosen season.
