If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, then you can probably guess from the title of this article that I’m VERY excited about this post! Not only because Rachel and Sam put together an incredible wedding, but also because I simply adore The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens!! This venue is one of my favorites in all of Denver, and unsurprisingly it turned out to be THE best space for Rachel and Sam to celebrate with their favorite people. I can’t wait to get into all the highlights from their day, but first I wanted to give a quick shoutout to these two for the wonderful review they left!

Getting Ready for Their Wedding at The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens

So my love for The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens as a wedding venue came into play from the very beginning of Rachel and Sam’s day. That’s because the two were able to get ready with their wedding parties in the comfort of two of the Inn’s historic suites. Being able to not only get ready with your wedding party, but do so at the venue always makes the day flow SO smoothly, and leaves a lot more time for couples to actually enjoy themselves on their wedding day!! Rachel and Sam were both sure to make the most of this extra time throughout the day.

After spending their mornings with their wedding parties and family, it was time for their first look. I LOVE how they did this, as instead of a traditional first look where Sam would have had his back turned to Rachel, they did something unique with The Lumber Baron Inn. The two stood on opposite sides of the honeymoon suite’s gorgeous sliding doors, and once they were ready Sam opened the door for the big reveal! It was SUCH a sweet moment for these two, and I love how it came together!!

A Colorful Outdoor Wedding in Denver

After their first look it was time for the wedding party, family, and couples portraits! This is yet another area where The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens excels as there's an abundance of different spaces that are perfect for wedding day portraits. Between the charming indoor suites, the spectacular gardens surrounding the Inn, and the exterior of the Inn itself, we were able to enjoy so many beautiful backdrop options. As we were finishing up with portraits their guests began to arrive, which meant the ceremony was just around the corner!

With their loved ones gathered in the backyard garden of the Inn, the ceremony processional was underway. There were many details of Rachel and Sam’s wedding that felt uniquely personal to them, and one of my favorites was how they chose to walk down the aisle together for their ceremony! It made this moment that already felt so special even more so, and you could tell that everyone in attendance felt the same way. Love was all around, and the festivities were really only getting started! After saying their I Do’s and officially becoming newlyweds, it was time to make our way inside to enjoy cocktail hour!!

Celebrating Their Wedding at The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens

Following cocktail hour was a stunning outdoor reception in the beautiful gardens of The Lumber Baron Inn. This space is pure magic, and was made all the more beautiful by the simple and tasteful décor from Rachel and Sam. I especially love their nod to the different national parks they adore, which were used as table markers!

Between the colorful attire of their guests, the stunning gardens we were able to enjoy, wonderful toasts from their loved ones, and some epic dances, the reception was off to a phenomenal start. The good times would continue long into the night though, as the upper level of the Inn is the perfect indoor space to keep the party going! Rachel and Sam danced ALL night long with their friends and family, only taking a break to sneak out for some late night portraits in front of the Inn. It was honestly THE perfect day for them, and I’m so happy I got to document it all!!
