Colorado Wedding Venue Feature: The Barn at Raccoon Creek

Through open doors of a The Barn at Raccoon Creek the mother of the bride zips up the bride's lace dress.

You may remember I recently wrote a venue feature about one of my FAVORITE wedding venues in Colorado, The Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens in Denver! Truth be told though, there are a LOT of wedding venues in Colorado that I just adore and feel deserve a similar treatment as The Lumber Baron Inn. That’s what’s brought us to today’s article, where I’ll be doing another feature piece on one of my top wedding venues in the state! Today we’re taking a look at The Barn at Raccoon Creek, a wedding venue in Littleton, Colorado which is a suburb of Denver!! This gorgeous wedding venue has hosted a few of my favorite weddings to date, like Molly and Zack’s, and they always leave me eager for my next experience at this fantastic space!

What Makes The Barn at Raccoon Creek so Special

The Spaces Available

The first area of excellence I want to cover with The Barn at Raccoon Creek are the wonderful array of spaces the venue has to offer their couples! First are the 2 amazing getting ready spaces the venue has on site for the couple to use. Both have fantastic lighting and a clean but comfortable feel to them making them perfect for the couple to get ready with their wedding parties without seeing one another!! In addition to the getting ready spaces are the 4 options for couples to choose from for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception space. First is The Ceremony Lawn, which as the name suggests is the perfect location for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

The other outdoor location is The Courtyard, which is found just outside of the iconic barn that the venue is named after! This space is the go to for an outdoor reception or for cocktail hour! The Barn is the venue’s historic indoor location, and is also one of the most versatile of the venue. It’s perfect for any and all parts of a wedding day, and the style of the space makes it a fantastic setting whether you want to keep your décor simple or go all out! Finally we have The Pavilion, which is The Barn at Raccoon Creek’s covered outdoor location that’s perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, or cocktail hour. It’s of course a great option to fall back on in the case of rough weather, but it’s honestly such a beautiful option that you may want to choose it regardless of the weather!!

Amenities and Next Level Service

As a wedding venue, The Barn at Raccoon Creek is more than just the spaces they have available! A LOT more!! When booking the venue you’ll have the option to choose from either their 8 Hour Package, or their All Day Package. Both packages include access to the getting ready spaces, ceremony and reception spaces of your choosing, seating, tables, tableware, and more! The All Day package also includes complimentary drinks, champagne, upgraded linens, and additional flexibility when it comes to the couple’s timeline. Finally, one thing you can count on no matter what option you choose is the unbeatable service you’ll receive from the venue’s staff! From the moment you book them as your venue, all the way until you’ve cleaned up from the night’s festivities, The Barn at Raccoon Creek’s staff is there helping to ensure that you have THE best wedding day possible!!

On Site Catering

The next aspect I adore about The Barn at Raccoon Creek that I have to mention is of course their DELICIOUS food! Their catering is truly next level, and thanks to it being in house it keeps things incredibly simple for your day! Everything I’ve had here during weddings I’ve photographed has been divine, and they’re also able to adjust their menu options to best fit what the couple envisions for their reception. They handle all of the alcohol as well, so there’s no need to bring any or plan in a separate vendor for your alcohol. The only area they do not cover is the dessert options, they do have plenty of dessert vendors to recommend their couples though!!

Vendors

Speaking of vendor recommendations, The Barn at Raccoon Creek has an astounding list of recommended vendors for couples to choose from for their wedding day! The list is of course not a required one, meaning that you can have any vendor of your choosing as a part of your wedding day (outside of catering and alcohol). Having this list available though is a HUGE benefit for couples though as it makes the planning process remarkably simpler! With a venue as renowned and wonderful as The Barn at Raccoon Creek you can trust that any vendor on their list is going to be able to provide a fantastic experience the day of your wedding. So if you’re having trouble finding a certain vendor for your wedding day feel free to rely on their recommendations!!

Beautiful Photo Opportunities

Something I forgot to mention when talking about the spaces available earlier is the endless photo opportunities available throughout the venue! The spaces themselves are stunningly beautiful, each with their own unique style and feel to them. Outside of these spaces though is where The Barn at Raccoon Creek really shines!! Whether it’s the breathtaking sunset views from the 17th green, the scenic lake giving you wide open views of the mountains in the distance, or one of the many nooks and crannies you can find throughout the grounds of the venue, there is just SO much here to work with!!

Logistics

The Barn at Raccoon Creek can host up to 200 guests for a wedding day, but is also equally suited to host more intimate gatherings as well! Being in the suburbs of Denver means that even though the venue is SO close to the city, it still feels as though you’re off in your own personal part of Colorado. This also means that there’s plenty of parking spaces for all 200 of your guests to use, and there’s a plethora of options to choose from for you and your guests to stay at. The close proximity to Denver also makes it incredibly simple for anyone flying in from out of state as the Denver Airport is only around 50 minutes from the venue!

As you can see there is A LOT to love about The Barn at Raccoon Creek as a wedding venue! This venue has been a favorite of mine for a while now thanks to the reasons I’ve listed above, and I cannot wait to document more beautiful wedding experiences here!! If you’re looking to book me as your wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you. Head to my contact page so we can start the planning process together today!!
