Wedding Reception at Mountain View Ranch in Pine, Colorado | Christine and Devon
When it comes to elopements today couples really are free to do whatever they want. I absolutely love this trend that the industry has taken as it’s allowed couples to really get creative as you’ll see from Christine and Devon’s gallery here! You see, Christine and Devon actually eloped in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of Colorado, but still wanted to celebrate with their friends and family. This is what’s led us to today as I had the absolute pleasure of documenting their wedding reception at Mountain View Ranch in Pine, Colorado! This reception was so fun and laid back, exactly what these two were hoping for!! Come with me as I relive their day and go more in depth on how to make your wedding day your own!
Kind Words from Christine and Devon
“Katie was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! The pictures turned out genuinely perfect, and we are beyond glad that we found her! She matched our personal style very well, and was supportive of all of our wedding ideas. She was also insanely organized, and went down our list of people we wanted pictures with so masterfully it made the whole process so straightforward (this allowed us to enjoy our cocktail hour without having to take pictures for 100 years). We ended up with ~ 500 photos total and we love all of them! If you are looking for a wedding photographer stop googling around and work with Katie, you definitely won't regret it!”
A huge thank you to Christine and Devon for choosing me to document their wedding. I had such a blast getting to know them and their loved ones, and absolutely adore how they kept their wedding true to them!! Now without further ado, let’s get into their epic wedding reception at Mountain View Ranch!
Their Wedding Reception at Mountain View Ranch
Christine and Devon’s wedding day began with their guests gathering at Mountain View Ranch. As they made their way inside they were treated with a surprise video, one that Christine and Devon took during their elopement! As their guests started to realize what was happening you could feel the excitement and anticipation in the air as they waited for Christine and Devon to make their entrance. The two did not disappoint, making one of THE coolest reception entrances ever to kick off their reception in style! After a LOT of hugs and congratulations from their friends and family, we made our way outdoors for cocktail hour. Having these multiple spaces for Christine, Devon, and their guests to enjoy throughout the day are a part of what made Mountain View Ranch the perfect choice for their wedding reception!
After some time at cocktail hour the three of us snuck off to get some newlywed portraits using the incredible Colorado landscape as our backdrop. Mountain View Ranch is a fantastically scenic location, so we had PLENTY to work with while taking portraits! After making our way back and taking some photos with friends and family it was time for the reception to begin. After some delicious food courtesy of Mountain View Ranch Christine and Devon took to the dance floor for their first dance together. It was a beautifully sweet moment that then led to the rest of their guests joining them for an afternoon of celebration!!
Planning the Wedding YOU Want
I adore Christine and Devon’s wedding day at Mountain View Ranch, not only because of how well put together it was, but also how unapologetically true they were to what they wanted for their day! There were SO many things, big and small, that made their day wholly unique to them. Some of my favorite details are the Rocky Mountain Beverage Burro (Christine’s #1 wish list item), playing yard games during cocktail hour with their friends, a donut wall as their dessert item, and of course the totally unique layout of having a reception after a private elopement! Their day is a perfect example of why you should plan the wedding YOU want!! Be true to you and your love, but also the way you want to celebrate that love, and I guarantee you everything will fall into place as it should!
Christine and Devon’s wedding reception at Mountain View Ranch is one that I’ll probably be obsessing over for years to come if we’re being honest! I seriously couldn’t picture a better celebration for these two fantastic people, and I’m just SO glad to have been a part of it!
