Family Focused Wedding at The Barn at Raccoon Creek | Molly and Zack
Soooo about Molly and Zack’s wedding at The Barn at Raccoon Creek.
Did I lose my shit several times over a triple rainbow and an epic sunset? Yes.
Did I lose my shit over how amazing Molly and Zack were? Also yes.
Their wedding day at The Barn at Raccoon Creek in Littleton Colorado had everything they love rolled into one day paired with some epic unplanned moments. From their family who came all the way from Illinois to celebrate their day, to their ice cream truck for the perfect late-night snack, there was SO much to love.
The Start of Their Day
Both Molly and Zack started their wedding day getting ready at The Barn at Raccoon Creek, which kept things SO simple for them. Zack was helped by his groomsmen while Molly’s mom helped her put the finishing touches on her dress. Emotions were running high as Molly had a first look with her bridesmaids, her father, and then finally with Zack. Tons of happy tears were shed in the morning, you could really feel just how special and emotional this day was for Molly, Zack, and their loved ones!
Molly and Zack planned to take the majority of their portraits before their ceremony, so after seeing each other for the first time we were able to have some fun with their wedding party taking photos before exploring the grounds of The Barn at Raccoon Creek. During their portraits, we even came across a double rainbow and were able to use their clear umbrellas to take some portraits as it lightly rained throughout their wedding day.
Their Wedding at The Barn at Raccoon Creek
Molly and Zack wanted to prioritize the time they spent with their guests, so we planned in plenty of time to take portraits between their first look and the ceremony. One of the reasons they chose The Barn at Raccoon Creek was all of the beautiful space that makes up the property. The Barn at Raccoon Creek is a gorgeous space and wedding venue in its own right, but Molly and Zack lucked out having a TRIPLE rainbow above them during their portraits.
After taking portraits and spending time with their family and friends we got these two married in the covered outdoor ceremony space at The Barn at Raccoon Creek. As the sun began to get lower in the sky Molly and Zack tied the knot! While their guests headed off to cocktail hour, Molly, Zack and I snuck away for some jaw-dropping sunset portraits. The stars seriously aligned for these two giving them beautiful backdrops left and right throughout their day!!
Their Reception at their Colorado Wedding Venue
The beautiful string-lit reception space at The Barn on Raccoon Creek is hands down one of my favorite reception spaces I’ve photographed! It creates such a fun and lighthearted atmosphere for a wedding which is just what Molly and Zack were looking for. Being from Illinois, and with their friends and family still living there, this atmosphere was SO important for these two. Having a space and creating a day around celebrating the love they share with those they care about the most was the goal of the day and they passed with flying colors (as evidenced by the rainbows and sunset!)
Wedding Ice Cream Truck with High Point Creamery
To top the night off Molly and Zack had High Point Creamery’s truck at their reception for themselves and their guests to enjoy. They went out for ice cream was their first date together, so it was only fitting to have it end their wedding night as well! We snuck out to take a moment to ourselves and snag some ice cream before heading back out into the reception to dance the night away.
Molly and Zack's wedding day is one of those days where I say to myself, how freaking cool is this job???? Between their ice cream truck, their epic sunset, a double rainbow, and their family and friends all coming together for their day, there was so much to love about Molly and Zack’s wedding day at The Barn at Raccoon Creek!! Molly and Zack were one of a kind, and their wedding day was everything one could hope for.
A look at what Molly and Zack had to say about their wedding day: "It felt like we were hanging out with a friend who just happened to be insanely talented at photography. Katie knew how to make us laugh, pump us up, feel comfortable, get us on the dance floor, and have moments to take a step back and take everything in."
