My 2024 Wedding Roundup as a Colorado Wedding Photographer
Towards the end of every year I reflect on everything that’s happened over the past 12 months, and I always get a little bit in my feelings! In 2024 I was lucky enough to document some of the most incredible days with THE best couples and people! From intimate elopements deep in the mountains of Colorado, to absolutely epic parties in Downtown Denver, and everything in between! Throughout the year my couples got to enjoy their unique, fun, and special wedding celebrations, and I’m just SO happy to have played a part in bringing their dreams to life! Every moment and detail was important, which is what made it so dang hard for me to choose just a SINGLE image for each day, but I did it. If you’re ready to relive the magic of 2024 with me, here are my highlights from my year as a Colorado wedding photographer!!
The Year of 2024
2024 was a PHENOMENAL year! I had the pleasure of documenting a total of 21(!!) weddings and elopements, and each was as wonderful as the next! If you’ve been following along with my blog for a while you may remember my 2023 wedding roundup, and I'm going to structure this article very similarly. We’ll go through each of the 4 seasons and the celebrations I was lucky enough to document in each, which again just goes to show you how amazing Colorado is to celebrate your wedding or elopement year round!!
Spring
My 2024 season began in practically the best way possible with back to back April weddings at one of my favorite venues, The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado! First was Kayla and Chris’ wedding day which was SUCH a beautiful and emotional celebration. A few weeks later was Brianna and Chris’ classic wedding, which was SO much fun from start to finish! These two and their guests really know how to party!! My 2024 season as a Colorado wedding photographer was off to a phenomenal start already, and there was so much more to come!
I had two weddings in May, the first of which was Brittany and Chris’ celebration at the fabulous Mountain Crust Event Venue! These two included so many personal details into their day, and chose one of THE coolest venues in Denver to host their wedding. Not long after was Elizabeth and Alex’s breathtaking intimate wedding at the gorgeous Crystal Creek Reservoir, which was the perfect way to cap off the month!
These last two weddings both took place in early June, but they honestly feel a little closer to spring weddings, so I'm including them here! First up was Rachel and Samuel’s wedding at the Lumber Baron Inn, one of my all time favorite venues in Denver. The setting was SO fitting for these two as they’re both some of the coolest and sweetest people around! Tina and Tommy’s wedding at Mountain View Ranch was next, and it’s practically the definition of an epic mountain wedding in Colorado! The first quarter of the year was off to a wonderful start, and up next was a BUSY summer of unforgettable weddings and elopements!!
Summer
Unlike my 2023 roundup, Summer actually turned out to be my busiest season of 2024, and it was a blast! With 9 weddings and elopements total (11 if you want to get technical and count the early June ones), my summer as a Colorado wedding photographer was packed with some wonderful celebrations! Up first we have my 2 remaining weddings of June. Jordan and Taylor’s stunning and colorful wedding at Chatfield Farms of the Denver Botanic Gardens was first, and it was as beautiful as you’d expect with a venue like this! Then came Sean and Jenny’s DIY wedding at Stove Prairie Ranch. Their wedding is the perfect example of how attention to detail can really elevate your wedding to the next level!
Next up was July, and this month I had a lovely mix of 2 weddings and 2 elopements. First on the list was Elisabeth and Tyler’s beautiful elopement at Sapphire Point Overlook, which was made all the more special by having their family and their pups present for the day! A few days later I got to document Sam and Connor’s one of a kind wedding day at the incredible Moss Denver! Up next was Angie and Mike’s elopement at an Airbnb in Idaho Springs, Colorado, which was just the sweetest and most personal day for these two. The finale of the month was Eileen and Spencer’s romantic wedding at The Charter at Beaver Creek, what a way to cap off the month!
There was still a bit more summer to enjoy though, as I still had two weddings that I got to document in August! One was Maddie and Luke’s dreamy wedding at the beautiful Mountain Wedding Garden in Crested Butte, Colorado. Then finishing off my summer as a Colorado wedding photographer was Jenn and Adam’s truly epic wedding at The Barn at Sunset Ranch! Summer was a whirlwind in the absolute best way possible, and I still had SO much to look forward to in the fall!!
Fall
The fall of 2024 was especially important to me as not only did I get to document 5 weddings and elopements, but Nick and I also got to celebrate OUR elopement!! I’ll talk about that more later though, first I want to talk about Misaki and Eric’s elopement in Crested Butte that kicked off September! These two had the most beautiful day for their elopement, and every moment felt truly special! My next wedding was Anna and Matt’s which was a gorgeous celebration at the wonderful Space Annex in Denver! Then came Abbey and Billy’s breathtaking wedding at the lovely Fossil Trace Golf Club. The 4th and final celebration of September was Nico and Stephen’s lovely elopement in Buena Vista, whose day was made all the more special by their loved ones attending their ceremony!!
October is when my 2024 season as a Colorado wedding photographer began to slow down, as I didn’t have any weddings or elopements that I photographed during the month. Instead, this was when Nick and I headed out to Telluride for our elopement, which was a literal dream come true!! Shoutout to Rose of Matlai Photography for documenting this special time for us!
I only had one more wedding left for the fall, and of my 2024 season as a whole, which was Erin and Zach’s wedding! Their celebration at the Tapestry House was such an amazing day to be a part of, and a perfect note to end the year on!!
Winter
Even though I took this winter off from elopements and weddings, it is still a wonderful time of year to celebrate your love here in Colorado! Check out some of my highlights from past winters on my blog to see just how beautiful it gets here during the colder months!!
A HUGE thank you to each and every couple that chose me to be the photographer for their wedding or elopement here in Colorado!
