My Favorite Wedding Venues in and Around Vail, Colorado
Couples looking to get married in Colorado are spoiled with options, almost to the point of it being overwhelming! I’ve already talked at length about some of my favorite places to have your wedding in the state, but truth be told there are still SO many other locations that are equally as wonderful that didn’t make the list!! Today’s article is meant to rectify that a little bit though, as we’re going to take a look at some of my favorite wedding venues in and around Vail, Colorado. Let’s check out what makes this area so special, when you should have your wedding here, and 7 of my favorite wedding venues amongst the picturesque mountains of Vail!!
Why You Should Get Married in Vail, Colorado
With how many options there are for an out of this world wedding experience in Colorado, why should you choose to celebrate in or around Vail? Firstly, this area makes planning the logistics of your wedding day remarkably simple. The town is only around an hour and forty five minutes west of Denver, which makes it simple to get to for you as well as your wedding guests who may be flying in from out of state. Similarly, the resort town is home to an abundance of resorts (shocking I know!) As we’ll see later, many of these resorts double as wedding venues, so you and your guests are likely able to stay insanely close to the location of your wedding itself, keeping things simple and stress free.
All this is wonderful, but the biggest draw of this area is of course its immense beauty! Being a resort town, as well as being known for its incredible ski slopes, Vail unsurprisingly has some of the state’s best mountain views to enjoy. Many of the wedding venues take full advantage of this, and there’s no shortage of epic portrait locations to choose from, no matter what season you choose to get married in! Speaking of which…
When to Have Your Wedding in Vail
What season should you have your wedding in while in Vail, Colorado? I’ve mentioned previously on my blog now how Colorado is lucky enough to be beautiful in every season, and that holds true in Vail. I recommend you check out my past article about what season is best for your wedding in Colorado as it goes over in detail the pros and cons of each season. The one thing to note is that since Vail is a resort town known for skiing, the winters here can get busy. REALLY busy! If you do intend on having a winter wedding here you’ll need to confirm that your venue allows wedding bookings during peak ski season, and that you book early enough so that you and your guests are able to book your stays!
7 of My Favorite Wedding Venues in and Around Vail, Colorado
Now with that out of the way, it’s finally time to take a look at some of my favorite wedding venues in Vail, Colorado! Many of these venues are part of the town’s resorts, so let's take a look at those first.
Resorts In and Near Vail
Holy Cross Event Deck
The first wedding venue on my list is the Holy Cross Event Deck, which is one of a few venues that are a part of the Vail Ski Resort. I wanted to highlight the Holy Cross Event Deck in particular though, as it’s a venue that really lets you experience the mountains to the fullest. Sitting atop Vail Mountain, the wedding venue acts as the perfect ceremony space where you and your guests can enjoy the jaw dropping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys while you share your vows. The brick seating of the event deck also allows you to have up to 180 seated guests present so everyone can enjoy your special day! Finally, being a part of the Vail Ski Resort means there are plenty of options to choose from for your reception and lodging for you and your guests!!

Four Seasons Resort
The next wedding venue I want to cover is a part of the phenomenal Four Seasons Resort in Vail! The Four Seasons is renowned both as a resort and wedding venue, and that’s because of their commitment to providing the best possible experience from top to bottom. The modern feel of the space, combined with their planning assistance and the amenities they offer, all wrapped neatly together underneath the beautiful mountains of Vail have made this venue a dream location for SO many couples!! It’s worth noting that while they do require couples to book a full service planner or coordinator for their event, this is actually a good thing! The venue does provide some planning assistance, but with a full service planner as a part of your vendor team they can ensure that EVERY part of your wedding day is executed to perfection!!

This pavilion is a gorgeous wedding venue option in Vail, and with their now over 20 years of experience they’ve become something of a staple to this incredible town! Donovan Pavilion is spacious, warm and inviting, has an abundance of natural light, and plenty of portrait opportunities within walking distance that make it a dream to photograph. Piney River Ranch made both of these lists for good reason, as it truly is one of my all time favorite wedding venues in Colorado. Between the stunning views of Piney Lake and the Gore Mountains from their ceremony deck, their excellent in house catering, wonderful lodging options, and their beautiful pavilions set for both cocktail hour and your reception, there is so much to love about Piney River Ranch!!

Beyul Retreat really lives up to its namesake, as the venue offers an exceptional getaway for you to enjoy with your closest friends and family.
