What is An Adventure Session?

So first off it might be helpful to go over just exactly what an adventure session is. An adventure session is a photography session done after your wedding date where the session itself is based on an experience, all while you and your partner are back in your wedding gear. It’s basically an adventurous date where you get to relive some of those feelings from your wedding day while wearing your wedding gear, all while I take photos throughout the adventure. There’s so much fun, excitement, love, and SO many other emotions during these sessions which make them some of my favorites to capture. It’s not every day you get to head out on an adventure in Colorado with your now spouse, all while wearing your wedding gear and reliving the best day of your lives together!!

4 Reasons To Book Your Adventure Session in Colorado

So now that we have an idea on what an adventure session is, let’s look at 4 reasons why you should have one in the gorgeous state of Colorado!

You Can Get Two Vibes

Colorado may be known for its mountains and astounding natural landscapes, but there’s more to the state than that. A LOT more! The city feel of Colorado is something that you have to experience to get a true appreciation for it, but once you do there’s no turning back. If you already had your wedding day in the gorgeous mountains of Colorado consider having your adventure session exploring Denver’s art district. On the flip side, if you had your wedding day in Denver or one of Colorado’s other cities then let’s head to the mountains for your adventure session. Having these two different vibes to your photos is something that’s hard to come by and one of the best reasons to celebrate your wedding AND have your adventure session in Colorado.

You Can Create Private Moments Together

Let’s face it, unless you’re eloping your wedding day is going to be completely full of time with friends and family. That’s a good thing though and that’s how a wedding should be! When else do you get to have all of your favorite people all in one spot celebrating you and your love? It’s a once in a lifetime experience, but it leaves you with little time alone to create moments together of just you and your partner. Having your adventure session in Colorado lets you get the best of both worlds. Celebrate and party with ALL of your favorite people, then later head out on an adventure with just the two of you (and me to capture it all) so you can enjoy some time with one another while still in your wedding attire!!

You Can Still Include Family

“Wait a minute Katie, I thought this was going to be a moment of just the two of us? We can have our parents or siblings there too?!” That’s the beauty of an adventure session in Colorado, like your wedding day the rules are up to you, so if you want some of your family to tag along they most certainly can! Just like you and your partner hardly getting any time together on your wedding day, it’s also hard to get in any actual conversations with your loved ones with so many guests all trying to talk with you. If you both are super close with certain members of your family, have them tag along for your adventure session for a one of a kind family outing!!

Get More Out of Your Wedding Attire

Wedding days are some of the most fun and important days of our lives, which is why it’s kind of sad that the clothes we wear the day of only get one moment in the spotlight. Now while it might be true that that is part of what makes your wedding attire so special, I think it’s fair to say you should get to wear your wedding dress and experience more than just one day in it. After all, you look freaking gorgeous in it!! With your adventure session in Colorado we can capture more moments of you looking your absolute best in the dress that now means SO much to you.
