Styled LGBTQ+ Wedding Shoot at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Colorado | Styled In Pride

Something I love about the wedding industry is how collaborative it is, and nowhere is that more present than a styled shoot! This past summer I had the pleasure of taking part in a styled LGBTQ+ Wedding shoot at the lovely Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, Colorado. There’s SO much that I love about this shoot, and the amazing host Styled In Pride, that I just HAD to share it here on the blog! So without further ado, let’s jump into it!!

Our Styled LGBTQ+ Wedding Shoot at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Colorado

For this styled shoot, the goal and inspiration was to showcase the venue and the work of these different talented wedding vendors as they created a wedding with a focus on stylish, elevated, and modern western vibes. Personally I think the team knocked it out of the park with the goal! The stylish décor rentals from Event Rents, the gorgeous stationery from The Lettery Co and calligraphy from Letter This Letter That, the modern western attire from Snake Farm Creative and Suit Shop, it was all just so perfect!

Our models Stuart and Scott, who are a real couple, were also SO much fun to work with, and totally rocked the western vibe we were going for! All in all this styled LGBTQ+ wedding shoot at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Colorado was a dream to be a part of, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing mission of Styled In Pride!!

The Amazing Work of Styled In Pride

A huge part of why I wanted to make an entire blog post about this styled shoot is due to the incredible work of the host, Styled In Pride! Created by fellow photographer Nick Hanyok, Styled In Pride was started with the goal to help LGBTQ+ couples find vendors for their wedding. In an industry that is sadly still lacking in its acceptance and inclusion of LGBTQ+ couples, Styled In Pride gives couples a comprehensive directory of the different vendors they’ve worked with who are LGBTQ+ friendly! Their styled shoots also give vendors the chance to work with real LBGTQ+ couples to build their portfolio and showcase the work on their site and socials so that future couples can more easily find them! Talk about a win-win!!

I’m so glad that I was able to take part in this styled LGBTQ+ wedding shoot at the Spruce Mountain Ranch in Colorado. In a country and industry that’s repeatedly mistreated, ignored, and discriminated against the LGBTQ+ community, I am SO thankful for Styled In Pride and their mission! To all the LGBTQ+ couples out there, know that you are seen and welcome here in Colorado, and it would be my pleasure to document your love on your wedding day!!
