Summer Elopement at a Cabin in the Colorado Mountains | Angie and Mike
There are a LOT of reasons to choose Colorado for your elopement, the most obvious one being the breathtaking setting to share your vows and say your I Do’s in! This is something that Angie and Mike can easily attest to, and after seeing the highlights from their day I think you’ll agree!! These two came from out of state to experience a peaceful, beautiful, and private elopement while staying at a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. They were able to enjoy all this and more, and I’m just SO glad to have been a part of this incredible experience!!
Getting Ready for Their Elopement in Their Cabin
Angie and Mike started their day off slowly, making sure to take in every precious moment the day brought their way. I arrived at their cabin in the mountains of Idaho Springs, Colorado as Angie was finishing getting ready for their elopement ceremony. The natural light of their Airbnb made for a beautiful getting ready space, and Angie was practically radiant in her lace wedding dress! We made our way outside of the Airbnb into the fresh mountain air where Mike was waiting. With the epic mountain views as their backdrop, Angie and Mike were able to enjoy their first look, share their vows, and sign their marriage license to officially become newlyweds!! Now it was time for some adventure!
Elopement Portraits in the Mountains of Colorado
After their lovely elopement ceremony outside of their cabin, Angie, Mike and I made our way into the mountains of Colorado for some portraits to celebrate the moment! About 45 minutes from their Airbnb is the epic Guanella Pass, which is home to some of my favorite portrait locations in the state. We explored the scenic landscapes together, taking portraits and having THE best time before being treated with the most gorgeous sunset. It was such a fitting note to end our time in the mountains as it really did capture the joy and love that Angie and Mike were experiencing!!
Our day wasn’t quite over yet though, as we made a quick stop in Georgetown, Colorado for some late night portraits on the historic main street. I don’t usually get to take night portraits like this for an elopement, so this was SUCH a fun way to end the day!!
I’m so glad that Angie and Mike chose to have a cabin elopement and celebrate the occasion in the mountains of Colorado! These two share such an amazing love for one another, and I can’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate their connection. They also chose to have a mini-moon after our time together, which made the trip just that much more special for them! Thanks for coming on this journey with me as I relive another one of my favorite elopements in Colorado!
